My coach (Chassis #897) has wrong seats. They are from a Simca Rally. In the spare-parts catalogue I have seen that it original should have bucket seats. Here in the forum I find two pictures from early HBR-seats. Are this seats the original ones? See it here again




I saw that they are looking very similar to Porsche 356 Speedster seats. Please look here:

Are this the same seats and only the upholstery is a little different?

I have resin moulds for this seats and make two of this bucket seats for my Sovam. But not with original upholstery. It was necessary that the Sovam seats upholstery is very thin because otherwise its not possible for people taller than 1,80m to drive with this car.



I am very interested in the opinion of specialists. Could the 356 Speedster seat be the same as the HBR Coach seat?
Or is it possible to buy seats from the first series (or second series) for my car?

Please feel free to answer in French. I learned French long ago in school an so I (hope) understand if its not too difficult

Dear Robert in the book on Sobeau there is more information on these seats. They were adapted from an Italian original. I'll send you by email some copies.

I can tell you 100 % sure , that the seat on the top picture is original D.B, because it is mine

there is one left and one right side ;

you can ask Guy MOTTE , he has the moulds to make new ones

it is made in two parts , the main + another small for the front "coussin"
